PAC 512 Two-Door Controller

Get the most from your current system by economically utilizing and protecting your existing investment in Readykey Access Control without disruption.

Compatible

For over 25 years, Readykey™ has offered reliable access control based on the K2100 and K2200 Door Controller. Originally launched by Radionics (Bosch Security Inc.), a sister company of PAC, Readykey is simply rebranded PAC hardware and software.

Like any capital equipment evaluation, security managers face tough choices in retaining and maintaining their Access Control system compared with a full overhaul and transition to new equipment. If the system is still performing, meeting the business requirements, a full replacement is low on the capital planning schedule.

Reader MatrixBefore and After Overview

Beyond upgrading or replacing the system, there are certainly additional capital and transition costs involved in a system overhaul. A full replacement would require the replacement of existing controllers, proximity readers, power supplies, enclosures, most of the cabling and connections including time consuming reissue of new card or key fobs to users. Further, a full replacement may draw vital capital resources away from other and perhaps more important upgrades to other systems such as Burg, Fire or CCTV systems.

Path to Retrofit

The alternative to a full system replacement is a phased-in, upgrade strategy, deploying next-generation Door Controllers with a specially engineered Retrofit Kit. These cost-effective upgrades to key elements of your system can reveal hidden potential, giving you state-of-the-art performance as well as a future-proof system.

Controller Replacement, in Just 4 Easy Steps

Readykey™ Retrofit Kits with pre-installed controllers provide a turn-key, cost-effective maintenance upgrade. Easy-to-install and with zero impact to productivity, they deliver modern controller technology and preserve existing cabling, reader and lock wiring, enclosures and readers.

PARTIAL RETROFIT TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE CONTROLLER
This example illustrates a typical site with three legacy controllers (K2100/K2200), once of which has failed. An IP Retrofit kit is installed (7S-RK512IP) which is connected to the LAN. The old enclosure does not need to be moved with the power supply and reader/lock wiring being reused. The existing 6-Wire Bus is rerouted to maintain the legacy network.
